One of the highlights of last year’s closure was the Graduation Parade that preceded the ceremony. This year, a parade will be held that will not be in conjunction with the graduation, but it will be a great way to honor the GHS Class of 2021. The parade will be held on Wednesday, June 2, with a rain date of Thursday, June 3. The parade will begin at Geneva Middle School and end at GHS with a senior cookout. We are asking a couple of local food trucks to assist with food. The school is working on donations to offset the cost. Line-up will begin at 5:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m., and the parade will kick off at 6:00 pm. One vehicle per graduate will be permitted unless there are extenuating circumstances and prior approval is given by school administration. Cars can be decorated as long as they are school-appropriate. We will use the same parade route as last year. All local safety forces will be invited to participate. We hope families along the route and others in our community will safely join in celebrating the Geneva High School Class of 2021!
